Recently, the campus pride leader at Georgia Tech, Scout Schultz, was shot and killed following a controversial confrontation. You can read more about the incident here.

To honor Schultz, students held a vigil last night. Though the vigil itself wasn’t violent, a group of 50 students that formed afterwards ended up getting violent.

The students marched to the police station, busted out a police car windshield and set the car on fire. During the rioting, they could be heard chanting, “This is not okay. Justice now!,” according to CNN.

Currently, the officer responsible for shooting Schultz has yet to be arrested. Family, friends and students are left wondering, why did the officers not turn to gun alternatives like pepper spray?
