Yahoo Sports has announced it has hired former NBA player Jason Collins as a basketball analyst.

Collins, who became the first active NBA player to announce he was gay following the 2012-13 season, will provide studio analysis for the upcoming men's NCAA tournament and the NBA, Yahoo Sports announced Monday.

Collins will make his debut on Yahoo Sports' Tourney Bracket Live show on Sunday.

The 36-year-old Collins played 13 seasons in the NBA for six different franchises — the Brooklyn and New Jersey Nets, Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies.

Collins was an All-American at Stanford and played in the Final Four his freshman year.
