“Every Day Is World AIDS Day at M·A·C Cosmetics!” said Rich Magana, manager of M·A·C Cosmetics. The fund gives money to provide help to people living with HIV/AIDS all over America.

Magana has been a part of the M·A·C team for six years. His career started in California; he moved to manage Oklahoma City locations three years ago.

M·A·C Cosmetics uses Viva Glam to help several ASO’s (AIDS Service Organizations) in local communities. “We provide grants and volunteer services to several Oklahoma organizations including OKC's Other Options, Inc.”

Since its founding in 1994, M·A·C AIDS Fund has raised a staggering $400 million through the sales of VIVA GLAM lipstick and lipglass alone. “100 percent of the purchase price of any VIVA GLAM product goes toward the M·A·C AIDS Fund.”

VIVA GLAM is best known for their wide variety of lipsticks and lipglass, many of which are named after celebrities that have made their position on HIV/AIDS treatment and education public through modeling the brand’s makeup. Lady Gaga, Elton John, Nicki Minaj and many more, including their most recent spokesperson, Taraji P. Henson.

When asked if he had a favorite, Magana replied, “They are all my favorite… [and] also so fierce!”

Magana and his team do their part in promoting AIDS activism and awareness as well. “We have volunteered for holiday initiatives, AIDS Walk support and provided makeup services for people in need and at Other Options’ annual fashion shows!

“The best part of working for M·A·C is being able to work for a beauty brand that embraces individuality and encourages us to give back to the community.”

The Oklahoma City M·A·C Cosmetics is located at Dillard’s Quail Springs Mall, but you can find one in most major cities. You can support ASO’s and individuals affected by HIV/AIDS local and afar by asking about VIVA GLAM products.

“Come visit Maddie, Bekah, Tyler, Nick, Classi and I,” Magana said in closing. “We change lives while helping people feel beautiful!”
