Shining a light on End HIV Oklahoma’s Red Ribbon Ball

Inaugural Fundraiser “The Greatest Show of Solidarity”
In a city like Oklahoma City, determined to combat the HIV epidemic, End HIV Oklahoma, a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating new HIV infections in the State of Oklahoma, held its inaugural fundraiser on December 5, 2025, at the iconic Will Rogers Theatre.
The event, attended by community leaders, healthcare advocates, and philanthropists, highlighted the pressing mission to expand access to prevention, testing, and treatment resources across Oklahoma, as well as one of their programs, Drag OUT HIV OKLAHOMA 2026 calendar.
End HIV Oklahoma, founded to support education, advocacy, and healthcare access, emphasizes the importance of knowledge and early detection. Their programs facilitate Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) access, offer rapid HIV testing, and guide individuals recently diagnosed, ensuring that treatment aligns with the U=U principle—undetectable equals untransmittable.
The fundraiser, which combined an inspiring program with community engagement, saw attendees contributing not only in dollars but in awareness. Special recognition was given to local healthcare providers and advocates who have tirelessly worked to bring HIV education to rural areas, where nearly 73 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties face barriers to care. Through partnerships with organizations like Diversity Family Health, End HIV Oklahoma ensures comprehensive support for those most at risk.
Funds raised during the inaugural event will bolster programs that provide free HIV testing, expand outreach campaigns, and secure vital medications, helping to dismantle stigma and improve timely access to care. In the words of End HIV Oklahoma’s Project Director and President Christopher Anderson, “Every contribution, every conversation, and every effort brings us closer to ending HIV in our state.”

As the evening drew to a close, the sense of collective purpose was palpable. Oklahoma may face challenges in both rural and urban health access, but with initiatives like End HIV Oklahoma and the overwhelming community support demonstrated at the fundraiser, a future without new HIV transmissions is tangible and within reach.
Plans for the 2nd Annual Red Ribbon Ball are already underway and will be held again at the iconic Will Rogers Theatre on December 5, 2026. For more information or to donate, visit www.endhivok.org.
