Woven provides free LGBT financial planning seminar

Oklahoma City – Woven will host a free educational seminar on financial planning for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community of Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. The May 7 “lunch and learn” event, from 11:30am to 1pm, includes a free lunch for attendees. Woven, www.livewoven.com, is a web-based company headquartered in Oklahoma City that provides resources to the LGBT community throughout the U.S.
Woven’s resources include a national provider network of financial and legal professionals comprised of financial advisors, attorneys, tax and insurance professionals who have demonstrated competence and passion in working with the unique legal and financial issues faced by LGBT couples and families. The website makes it easy to find professionals with search capability based on geographic location.
Kristin Davis, president of Woven, looks forward to establishing in-person educational opportunities that will expand upon the company’s mission to be a trusted online resource for the LGBT community.

A member of the Woven network, Kathy Williams is the Managing Principal and lead Financial Advisor of Advance Financial Lighthouse, Inc., with more than 30 years of experience. Her many years of taking care of her clients has focused on financial planning, investment risk, taxation, equity and debt instrument, securities, retirement plans and insurance.
