Time to go “Footloose” with OKC Pride

OKC Pride will hold its fourth Second Chance Prom on March 11.

On March 11, OKC Pride presents its fourth Second Chance Prom. The event is geared towards those in the LGBT+ community who never had a chance for a prom or the chance to do it the way they wish they could have. For this prom, attendees will be able to bring who they really want as their date.

The 21 and up event will be held March 11 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the New Covet House Warehouse.

Guests will enjoy a retro 80’s theme of ‘Footloose’ and the event will feature all the classic trappings: music, cocktails and catered snacks.

This year’s court will include Robin Dorner, Angel Hamilton, Storm Shenold, Verna Meadows, BJuicy Hilton, Donnie Wilson, Kendal Hallman, Allyson Paige Henry, Bentley Hicks and Mariah Naomi Aguirre. From these nominees in the court, the one who receives the most votes via cash donations will be crowned King and Queen.

“Each year the OKC Pride prom has grown in size and popularity,” organizers report. “The event provides an evening of excitement, fun and festivities you haven’t gotten to experience since high school.”

The New Covet House Warehouse is located at NW 4th and Klein in Oklahoma City. Tickets for the event are $25 per person. VIP tickets, which give access to the open bar, are $75 per person. Tickets can be purchased at www.OKCPride.org.
