On Friday, the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race aired with a familiar face to Oklahoma natives.

Brennan Peters, an actor and choreographer in Tulsa, Okla., was one of four cheerleaders or “cheer boys” to appear as guests for a special challenge for the competing drag queens.

“I’ve been a big fan of the show since season one, so it was really cool to get the inside scoop on the day to day basis and meet all the queens,” says Peters.

He describes meeting the show’s host as a “dream come true.”

“I got to play dirty charades with RuPaul,” he says, before adding with a laugh, “He was barefoot, so it was legit.”

The experience was insightful and enlightening for a longtime fan.

“There’s so much more on the episode behind the scenes that you don’t ever see or have any idea about,” Peters says. “They probably had two days’ worth of footage that they edited down to forty minutes.”

All in all, he calls the experience “insightful” and would love to work with the crew again.

RuPaul’sDragRace airs every Friday at 7 p.m. CST on VH1.
