Kansas City, Kansas:

The United Nations has once again proclaimed “Getting to Zero” as the campaign theme of World AIDS Day 2015. The focus of the campaign is on “zero” – zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths.
For over twenty years, the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City has fostered grassroot action to eliminate the stigma, suffering and spread of HIV/AIDS in our community.

In this spirit to Think Globally, Act Locally, we ask that you join with the AIDS Service Foundation and consider supporting World AIDS Day 2015.

The World AIDS Day Community Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, December 1st, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, 4801 Rockhill Rd, KCMO.

At the luncheon, Kathleen Sebelius, former Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, will share the keynote address. Mrs. Sebelius is one of America’s foremost experts on national and global health issues, human services and executive leadership. While Secretary she led the effort to pass and implement the most significant health reform in a half a century, the Affordable Care Act.   Due to limited seating, we ask that you RSVP with your sponsorship by November 20th to guarantee your spot at this special event.

The World AIDS Day Patrons Reception will be held on Monday, November 30th, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the lovely home of Ann and Tom Isenberg, 6433 Aberdeen Rd, Mission Hills KS.

For Zero Kansas Citians to lack the resources they need to live healthy, productive lives is not a zero sum game. With the common will of our community partnerships, we can offer shelter, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services and a message of empowerment to those who need it most.

Thank for your steadfast commitment to the mission of the AIDS Service Foundation and for your consideration of our request in support of World AIDS Day 2015.
