“Come taste the wine, come hear the band, come blow your horn, start celebrating right this way!” says Broadway.com. “Queer as Folk star Randy Harrison and Broadway alum Andrea Goss will lead the national tour of Cabaret as the Emcee and Sally Bowles, respectively. The touring production will launch on January 26, 2016 in Providence, before continuing to cities across the country.”

Harrison, who is openly gay, was described in NYMag.com when he was appearing in Showtime’s Queer as Folk series: “In person, Harrison is quietly intense, and his look -- wire-frame glasses, an exceedingly bland tan sweater, unremarkable jeans -- is so understated that it doesn't even qualify as geek chic. On QAF, Justin's nickname is Sunshine because of his generally cheery disposition.”

“Harrison made his television debut playing Justin Taylor, a gay teen, in 2000's American version of Queer as Folk, based upon the British television series,” according to Wikipedia. “The series ran for five seasons, ending in 2005. He has a substantial resume in regional theatre” where he is featured in a variety of roles.

“Harrison attended the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where he ultimately received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre.”

Broadway.com describes Cabaret, ”Featuring a score by John Kander and Fred Ebb and a book by Joe Masteroff, Cabaret is set in the infamous Kit Kat Klub, where the Emcee, Sally Bowles and a raucous ensemble take the stage nightly to tantalize the crowd—and to leave their troubles outside. The musical features some of the most memorable songs in theater history, including Cabaret, Willkommen and Maybe This Time.”

According to the Associated Press, The Cabaret tour kicks off in Providence, Rhode Island, in late January and then goes on to Pennsylvania, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, Ohio, Nevada and California.
