“Be yourself. It’s a good bet.”

From time to time, business or pleasure, I travel to Las Vegas. Most frequently, I stay in a Caesars Entertainment property. I only recently learned of their strong commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.

I was directed to the Caesars website after accessing the hotel internet and, for some reason, began to scroll the page. At the bottom, in the array of site topics, I saw one which read, “LGBTQ Pride.” I was impressed at the topic, and especially that they included the “Q” at the end but didn’t expect much as far as content. I was surprised when I saw this statement:

“Caesars Rewards by Caesars Entertainment is the premier casino company for the LGBTQ community. We are fortunate enough to have scored 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index nine years in a row!

Additionally, we are proud supporters of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), and the Human Rights Campaign. In Las Vegas, we are proud supporters of SNAPI’s Pride festival, growth, and expansion of the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada and in a variety of other LGBTQ organizations. We have similar partnerships in many of the other markets in which we are privileged to operate casinos, hotels, meetings and entertainment venues.

We pride ourselves as being part of the LGBTQ community. We have employees, guests, and extremely diverse neighbors, and we foster an environment where you can come, have a great time and be yourself.

You can mingle on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, wander the French Quarter in New Orleans, rock the Strip in Las Vegas and explore countless other exciting cities. Because wherever your exploits take you, we’ve got a casino nearby that loves you for being you.

If you’re looking to get married, we invite you to tie the knot at one of our exciting resorts. We have an array of beautiful properties to choose from, including popular Strip wedding destinations Caesars Palace and Paris Las Vegas.”

The site then includes information about LGBTQ+ events they host in Las Vegas, and a list of choice wedding locations, including getting married on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. You can get married while soaring 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip with sweeping 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip.

The wheel takes 30 minutes to complete one revolution; that’s plenty of time for a wedding. Be sure to upgrade your High Roller wedding spot to a “party with an open bar cabin,” referred to as the “Happy Half-Hour,” in this open bar in the sky.

Not only has this company gotten a perfect score on the HRC Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the past nine years, they are also on the list of private sector support for the federal Equality Act which surged in the last year. At present, 107 major employers are signatories on HRC’s Business Coalition for the Equality Act and Caesars is one of them.

To score 100 percent on the HRC CEI, companies must have policies which include prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, have contractor/vendor non-discrimination standards that include the same, must have equivalent spousal and partner medical benefits and equal “soft benefits” must offer transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, firm-wide organizational competency programs and have employer-supported Employee Resource Group or Firm-Wide Diversity. These are just the top few requirements to qualify.

And finally, Caesars hotels in Vegas are pet-friendly, so why leave Bella and Brutus at home? Bring your best friends and ask for one of their Pet Stay rooms.

The list of Caesars Entertainment properties in Las Vegas includes Caesars Palace, Bally’s, The Linq, Rio, Harrah’s, The Cromwell, Flamingo, Paris Las Vegas and Planet Hollywood. The remaining list of all Caesars properties is far too long to include here, but you have choices not only across the nation but internationally as well in Dubai, Puerto Los Cabos, Egypt, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
