Just last year, Chad McClarnon, came to the 2014 deadCENTER Film Festival with his award-winning short film, Bear With Me. This year he returns with his latest project, Daddy’s Little Girl, a Sci-Fi/Horror short film starring Robin-August Fritsch, Michael Kitts, and Sulivan Street.
The screening at this year’s deadCENTER Film Festival, the Oklahoma Premiere for the film, will be on Friday June 12th, 2015 at 9:15pm and Sunday June 14, 2015 at 5pm at Harkins Theatres Bricktown 16 (150 E Reno Ave Oklahoma City, OK 73104). Tickets available at www.deadcenterfilm.org
Daddy’s Little Girl is the story of a precocious young girl who uses her self-taught science knowledge to finally tackle the problem of her abusive father head on. It is a short thriller with a sci-fi bent, suggested for mature audiences.
This five minute short film had its World Premiere at the 15th Annual Phoenix Film Festival in Phoenix, AZ and was honored to receive the TN Horizons Audience Award at this years Nashville Film Festival in April. Director, Chad McClarnon, is excited to be coming back to OKC with this award-winning short. “The audience response we’ve received to this picture has been outstanding, and I can’t wait to see what the OKC folks have to say about it,” McClarnon said, “deadCENTER always draws huge crowds of passionate film fans, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of that experience again this year. It’s going to be a blast!”
Daddy’s Little Girl is the fourth short film from the Best Part Productions team. Co-Producer and Screenwriter Trey McClarnon, “This is a much different film than Bear With Me, and actually a lot different from any of our previous work. Bear With Me was a very short absurdist comedy, this film is much darker. It’s going to be interesting to see how it plays to the Oklahoma audiences.”
