(Fayetteville) Northwest Arkansas’ seventh annual Equality Ball will be held in Fayetteville on November 15. The Northwest Arkansas Center for Equality sponsors the annual event to raise money for advocacy efforts in the area.

The ball is sponsored by Walmart and Sam’s Club, whose support for the Center has continued to grow over the years. Organizers are expecting record attendance of 350 or more, up from 250 in 2012.

The Equality Ball and The Center celebrate the great strides that have been made toward equality for the LGBT community nationally and locally in the last year. Dinner, drinks and a silent auction and exciting entertainment fill out the fare for the evening. The acoustic duo The Wildcards will be followed by DJ NEMI. Marybeth Cornwell, Walmart’s Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager for Ladies wear, and Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan are guest speakers.

The Northwest Arkansas Center for Equality is a local nonprofit organization devoted to fighting for the equality of the LGBT community in Arkansas and nationwide. This year’s ball will be held at 7:30pm on November 15 at the Fayetteville Town Center.
