Academy Award nominated films at OKCMOA

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Oklahoma City Museum of Art would like to thank the Academy. Once again, Oklahoma City's premiere art-house theater is the only place to see nearly twenty of this year's nominees, including all of the Oscar-nominated short films, and three of 2016's Best Foreign Language film contenders. We are also the exclusive venue for "Boy & the World," one of this year's most remarkable animated features (and a surprise nominee), and we are deeply honored to be screening "45 Years," featuring Charlotte Rampling in role for which she will be competing for Best Actress.

"Whether you agree or disagree, as I usually do, with the Academy's choices, it's always more fun to watch the awards with a rooting interest," says Curator of Film and American Art Michael J. Anderson. "And sometimes they really do get it right, whether it's Mustang in the Foreign Language category or Rampling for Best Actress. With all the contenders out there to see, you might as well spend your time watching the best."
