"Always…Patsy Cline"

At the Boom Dinner Theatre

I went to see Always…Patsy Cline with no pre-conceived ideas about Cline, but certainly no love of country music. I can say I didn’t understand the “icon-ism” prior to the show, but that my opinion is completely changed since hearing Oklahoma native Shelly Phelps belt out Cline’s hits on stage at the intimate Boom Dinner Theatre on the OKC Strip.

I fell to pieces when she sang, “I Fall to Pieces.”

The show also stars local OKC actress Brenda Williams as Louise Seger, Cline’s best friend. Williams also directs the show.

I definitely have a finer appreciation for country music after seeing this show!
