English singer and songwriter Dido is all charged up about her upcoming tour, as well as her new album Still On My Mind. And in the buildup to both, she just dropped her empowering break up song, Give You Up.

“It’s just so perfect,” Dido said of the track. “It’s a good break up song, where you’ve been hurt but feel strong. It’s that point in a relationship where you are pulling yourself out of the gutter and deciding that it’s their loss.  Which I can totally relate to.”

The tour, her first in 15 years, takes place in May and June, with several stops during June in the United States beginning with Chicago on June 13.

Still On My Mind is the singer’s fifth studio album. It was “written and recorded in England, a result of the fruitful and incredibly natural production/songwriting partnership with her long term collaborator and brother (Faithless founder) Rollo,” according to Towleroad.com.

Dido’s debut album, No Angel, was released in 1999, bringing her international acclaim. It was followed by Life for Rent, Safe Trip Home and Girl Who Got Away. She has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and has earned several awards.

Dido virtually dropped out of sight at the height of her career in 2003 to be home with her father, who was dying of lupus. She lives quietly in the United Kingdom, but is excited about her upcoming tour. She told the Daily Mail, ‘It feels like the right time and Stanley [her son with husband Rohan Gavin] is young enough to come with me.’

This was key to her decision to step back into the limelight. He will travel with her, to share the experience, the Mail continued.

Still On My Mind drops March 8.
