Fred Jones Museum Association to host Legacy fundraiser

Norman, Oklahoma – Style and sophistication take center stage during an evening of festivities at Norman’s new Legacy Park as the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art Association raises funds for a new acquisition of contemporary art. The Association is hosting the event, which will take place Friday, November 13, at 8 p.m. at the newly opened Legacy Park.
“The Silver Soirée is an exciting opportunity to raise awareness about the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art while having a fabulous time with new friends,” said Melissa Scaramucci, event committee chair. “From stunning live performances to live auctions and more, this magical event is not to be missed.”
Silver Soirée: Join the Legacy is a fresh take on the museum’s annual fall fundraiser. In addition to raising funds to purchase the work of art, the event will help raise funds necessary to conserve Rest on the Flight to Egypt by the school of Anthony van Dyck, a piece already residing in the museum’s permanent collection.
This year, the Association is looking back at the legacy created over the past 40 years since the first Silver Ball in 1975. The evening’s entertainment will include a live performance by the band SquadLive and music by DJ Nexus. The event also will feature multiple performance artists and entertainers, as well as a photo booth. Guests are encouraged to wear silver attire for the event.
Ticket prices are $75 for current Museum Association members and $100 for non-members. Tickets will include two complimentary beverages, admission to the first tier of the event and valet parking. Tickets can be purchased online at ou.edu/fjjmamembers or by phone at (405) 325-2297.
