Staff report

(Tulsa, OK) The February Oklahomans for Equality (OkEq) exhibit of local artists features the art of a group of girlfriends entitled “Girlfriends.” The exhibit begins with a reception on Thursday, February 7th from 6-9 pm. It continues throughout February at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center.

The exhibit, curated by Cynthia Brown, consists of art by six women artists. Each explores the subject of friendship through their unique artistic expression. The artists are Marjorie Atwood, Cynthia Brown, Debbie French, Rebecca Joskey, Cynthia Marcoux and Lisa Regan.

The different genres on display expose each artist’s unique take on life, her media and her art. The show exploits the juxtaposition of each artist’s design balanced with their similar experiences. The palette of style and materials combines for a “must see” show.
