(Note: OKCMOA will be closed on Saturday, July 4 in honor of Independence Day).
This Fourth of July weekend, the OKCMOA Film Program presents

Masterworks of Black Independent Film, 1982-1986

July 2-July 5

The Masterworks of Black Independent Film, 1982-1986 series features three of the finest black independent films of the 1980's by filmmakers Charles Burnett, Kathleen Collins and Spike Lee.

"Viewers will become acquainted with one of the most creatively rich moments in black independent film - and with three of this movement's most important and accomplished works. Importantly, these films combat many different stereotypes, and, in the case of 'She's Gotta Have It' in particular, they are also films that have changed communities for the better," OKCMOA film curator Michael J. Anderson said.
