As the political divide continues to deepen in the U.S., various hate groups continue to wage threats.

One such threat was made by a KKK group against James Schneider who is the planning and zoning commissioner for Cape Coral, Florida.

Considering Schneider’s qualifications, he decided to run for a city council position. However, due to his sexuality, KKK members felt threatened.

Late one night, KKK members snuck onto Schneider’s porch and left a threatening message.

“We know where you live faggot. We are going to win. Quit now,” the note stated. “When you girls least expect it we will be here for a nice visit. Like semores?”

After receiving the note, Schneider expressed some deep concern.

“I kind of dropped it. I didn’t know what to do with it. I was spooked by it immediately. It really shakes you to the core,” according to Schneider’s interview with his local NBC station.

However, Schneider has decided not to back down from the race.

“I am going to stay in the campaign,” said Schneider. “I almost quit which would’ve meant they won. I think I’m the appropriate candidate for the position.”
