Recently, we brought you up to date on the newest addition to Roseanne in its upcoming reboot. The character is Darlene’s 4-year-old gender-creative son, Mark.

The group in tumult over the character is One Million Moms. This group’s mission is to alarm parents of potential “filth” that the modern media portrays.

“Mom, are you fed up with the filth many segments of our society, especially the entertainment media, are throwing at our children?,” says the group’s website. “Are you tired of all the negative influences our children are forced to contend with?”

If by negative influences the group means allowing children to understand and find their place in the world, one could suppose a difference of opinion might be found.

In response to the show, One Million Moms had this to say.

“Unfortunately, the age of Roseanne’s grandchildren may attract young viewers, so the victims of this outrageous program are the young cast members, not to mention any child who views the show. The sexualization and moral corruption of these children is child exploitation at its worst. No child should be introduced to the experience of mental disorders.”

From this statement, one could gather that One Million Moms isn’t familiar with the concept of changing channels.

Nevertheless, to read more, view the group’s website and send them your opinion, check out their website.
