Out in Eureka announces special showing of documentary

As part of the 2017 Fall Diversity Weekend in Eureka Springs, Out in Eureka will be sponsoring a showing of the movie, “The Death and Life of Marsha P Johnson”.  

Filmmaker David France re-examines the 1992 death of transgender legend Marsha P. Johnson, who was found floating in the Hudson River. Originally ruled a suicide, many in the community believe she was murdered.

On Saturday, November 4th, the movie will be shown at Upstairs at the Grotto located at 39 Spring Street. This event is to free to attend and is open to all age groups. There will be a meet and greet from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The movie will start at 3 p.m. followed by an attendee discussion afterward. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The film was released by Netflix on October 6 and Eureka Springs is one of just a few of locations in the United States that will be able to show the movie.
