Step into a world of queer art and storytelling at Tulsa’s OkEq

The topic of psychedelics remains taboo in many spaces, even as cultural and clinical conversations continue to evolve. In this timely and moving exhibition, queer artist, activist, and Tulsa native Jason E. Clark explores his clinically assisted psychedelic journey through visual storytelling and deeply personal reflection.
This exhibition marks the culmination of a five-year artistic journey, with each piece offering its own story while contributing to a broader narrative of resilience and self-discovery. Together, the collection reflects Jason’s personal quest for representation and meaning in a world shaped by struggle and transformation.
The works candidly depict the nuances of walking life’s tightrope, as the artist navigates mental health challenges, suicidal ideation, divorce, and the profound impacts of living through the COVID-19 pandemic. The result is a body of work that is honest, vulnerable, and rooted in the pursuit of healing and understanding.
We invite you to join us for the opening night and experience an exhibition that challenges stigma, centers queer lived experience, and honors the complexity of survival.
The same night, the Lynn Riggs Theatre Bar will be open from 6–9 PM (cash & credit accepted) and Karaoke with Robert Patrick, from 7–9 PM in the theatre as well.
The event will be held at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center at 621 E 4th St., Tulsa, OK 74120. For information, visit WWW.OKEQ.ORG or call (918) 743-4297.
