Falalala Ball: It’s not your regular office party

(Tulsa) It’s that time of year again. Time to “don that gay apparel” and head to the Oklahomans for Equality (OkEq) annual holiday event, The Falalala Ball.
“This is not your regular office holiday party,” said Toby Jenkins, OkEq Executive Director. It’s gonna’ be so hot that we have the firefighters from the 2015 Tulsa Metro Hottest Firefighters Calendar in attendance.”
The firefighters will be available for photos and to sign copies of their calendar.
“The Falalala Ball is an event where the community can easily give back and have a blast doing it,” Jenkins continued. “Admission will be a donated item to one of the charities we support that night.”
Charities supported are: A Friend for A Friend, which accepts dog and cat food items for people who are not able to care for their animals because of the financial burden of dealing with HIV/AIDS; and The Parish Church of St Jerome, which accepts non-perishable food items and toiletry items for their food bank.
“There will be raffle items at the event, and bring money for drink tickets. There will be a fully stocked bar….a cash bar.
“And there will be live entertainment. Several bands will take the stage as well as a leather kink fashion show, go-go dancers. Burlesque girls will put on a show for the crowd, and a DJ will keep the music going during breaks,” Jenkins said in conclusion.
Dress for the event is business casual or holiday festive wear. “Don your gay apparel…or your favorite leather wear.”
The event will be held on Saturday, December 20, 7pm at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center in downtown Tulsa, 621 E 4thSt.
