Sing-A-Long Sound of Music comes to OKC

The Sound of Music Sing-a-long is May 16, 8pm at OKC's Myriad Garden's Great Lawn at the Devon Amphitheater.

The 1965 smash-hit musical drama, Sing-A-Long Sound of Music, starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer and composed by Richard Rodgers with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, makes its way to Oklahoma City on Saturday, May 16.

This free event is appropriate for all ages and promises to be one of the most enjoyable nights of the summer - as the audience is encouraged to bring blankets, folding chairs and ice chests to the Myriad Garden's Great Lawn at the Devon Amphitheater.

The pre-show will begin at 8pm and the film will begin at 9pm.

The Sing-a-Long Sound of Music is the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein's film musical in its glorious full-screen Technicolor, complete with subtitles so the audience can sing along. Interactive "fun-packs" make the movie even more fun (free for the first 1,500 people).

Then of course there is the famous fancy-dress competition, and everyone who has come in costume is invited onto the stage to show off their fantastic tailoring skills.

So get those vocal chords warmed up, cut up those chintz curtains and hurry down for the perfect night out.

Fancy dress is not obligatory but highly recommended!

General Admission is free to the public. VIP seating is available at www.Ticketstorm.com.
