(Edmond,OK) The University of Central Oklahoma’s (UCO) Faculty Artist Concert Series will continue this fall with a Halloween-themed performance from the vocal faculty in Central’s School of Music at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at the UCO Jazz Lab, 100 E. Fifth St. in Edmond.

The vocal faculty will present “Halloween Spooktacular: School Spirits,” a program that honors Central’s 125th anniversary. School of Music faculty including Molly Johnson, Rob Glaubitz, D.M.A., Kevin Eckard, D.M.A., Barbara Fox DeMaio, Barbara Streets, Ph.D., and Marilyn Govich, Ph.D., will perform pieces of Central’s timeline from beginning to present-day.

The Spooktacular has become an audience favorite thanks to its unique holiday theme, decor and the costumes found on both the stage and in the audience.

“The faculty will be wearing costumes representative of the period they are portraying,” said Rob Glaubitz, D.M.A., vocal and opera professor and assistant director of the School of Music.

“We will have festive Halloween decorations, and the audience is strongly encouraged to wear costumes for the costume contest.”

Tickets are $10 at the door and free for UCO students with valid UCO student ID. For reservations, contact Laurie Flewwellin, administrative assistant for the School of Music, at 405-974-5749.

The Faculty Artist Concert Series will continue on Nov. 10 with Samuel Magrill and conclude for the fall semester on Nov. 17 with the 5th Street Jazz Collective. The first concert of the Spring 2016 semester will be Jan. 12 with a presentation by Barbara DeMaio, Molly Johnson and Mariann Searle, celebrating 125 years of Musical Theatre.
