Today Flock of Pigs will release their first new single of 2018, Good Morning. The song features Kristen Marie, a contestant on season 10 of NBC’s The Voice.

“I always love working with the Flock, but this song felt like a new sound, and I’m so excited to have been a part of the magic,” said Kristen Marie.

“We proudly identify as a gay band and hope you all like the single,” said bandmember Wyatt Helms.

Flock of Pigs is self-described as a collective of forward-thinking musicians with backgrounds spanning from classical to hip-hop, captivating audiences through rebellious anthems, future sounds and electrifying performances. Intricate arrangements, crass lyrics and soulful vocals make up the base of the Flock sound.

They have been described by their growing, diverse fan base as “Rage Against the Machine meets Prince”.

Most notably, the Flock’s dazzling performances have led them to open for Emmy Award-winning OKC hip-hop artist Jabee, Roc Nation artist Statik Selektah, and Billboard artist AJR. The Flock aims to blend genres to produce the next chapter of music.

“The lyrics and message of Good Morning represent the story of my journey through and out of depression and self-doubt. The uplifting Motown flavor of our guitarist Ben moved me to write a message that inspires. Get out of bed! Keep on livin’.” describes frontman and vocalist, Joseph Lee.

The song was recorded by Trent Bell of Bell Lab Studios in Norman, Oklahoma. Flock of Pigs will perform at the Norman Music Festival, 9:00 P.M. on Friday, April 27th at the Budweiser Depot Stage.
