The Rep brings 'Hooking Up' with Second City to Little Rock

Hooking Up with Second City makes mirth out of missed connections, girls’ night out adventures and all the crazy things we do for love. America’s favorite comedy improv troupe is back at The Rep with this gaspingly funny revue that includes a modern mix of romance, rancor and everything in between.

The Second City knows a few things about love – they have been looking at and laughing about relationships for over 55 years. Hooking Up is a must-see new show all about relationships featuring hilarious sketches, songs and world-famous improvisation from Chicago's best and brightest.

The Second City is celebrating 55 years of producing cutting-edge satirical shows and continues to launch the careers of comedy superstars, including Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more.

Tom Scanlon, writing for Pittsburgh’s Trib Total Media, says, “There are two reasons people like to see Second City: 1) to laugh; 2) to have a claim of ‘I was there when he/she was a nobody’ — in case any of them become famous.

“This 2016 Second City touring crew includes Ali Barthwell, Kelsey Kinney, Martin Morrow, Charles Pettitt, Jasbir Singh and Casey Whitaker. Who will be next from this ‘comedy college’ to break big?” The Little Rock production includes the same performers. A fun feature of Hooking Up is that the cast often brings audience volunteers to the stage to take part in the hilarity.

Anneliese Toft directs the show; Jake Allen Miller is Stage Manager, and Music Direction is by Vinnie Pillarella.

Hooking Up with the Second City may contain mature content.
