Surf & Soul Tour comes to Springfield, Muskogee

California surf meets Motor City soul when two of America’s all-time favorite bands perform together, asThe Beach Boys and The Temptations bring their Surf & Soul Tour to Muskogee, Okla. and Springfield.

Calling The Beach Boys "legends” is an understatement. Their multi-layer harmonies, unmistakable 1960s surf rock sound and laid-back style launched them into worldwide fame,while simultaneously shaping the future of pop music forever.

There is no doubt that there will be some ‘Good Vibrations’. To these guys, the beach isn’t just a place where the surf comes to play - it’s where life is renewed and made whole again. Their classics include Surfin’ SafariSurfin’ U.S.A., Little Deuce coupe, California Girls, Good Vibrations, God Only Knows, I Get Around, Surfer Girl, Help Me Rhonda, Fun, Fun, Fun and Wouldn’t It Be Nice

Adding a side of soul to The Beach Boys’ surf are the smooth and very funky Temptations, known for their Motown smash hits Ain't Too Proud to BegMy Girl and Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone. With the help of writer/producer Smokey Robinson, they embodied the heart and soul of Motor City USA. Over the course of their career, the band has won three Grammy awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.

Both bands have been headliners for decades, selling millions upon millions of albums to fans of four generations.

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Jeff Foskett, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Brian Eichenberger and Scott Totten continue the legacy of this iconic American band. The Temptations include Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Terry Weeks, Larry Braggs and Willie Greene Jr.
