Wild Horse Gallery in Guymon presents The Normal Wild West Show

Wild Horse Gallery is delighted to be presenting an exhibit of the "Normal Wild West Show"- a semi-serious art show in Guymon, OK. The show opens October 12 and closes November 16. Artist Incubation, Inc., a Guymon based 501(c)3 owns the gallery.

With this exhibit of eleven works by eleven artists from Norman, the show brings much needed sales and exposure for Artist Incubation and Guymon. Many of the artists have visited Wild Horse Gallery and have ties to the art instructors at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, OK.

They are “honestly excited and gung ho" about this show. Guymon residents and surrounding areas will be able to experience a rare opportunity to meet artists and see beauty in the works they have created. The history of Oklahoma and landscapes across America come alive in the paintings.

Carol Beesley, Professor Emeritus of Art, University of Oklahoma and photographer Vanessa Rudloff, put together this ‘semi-serious’ show by artists who have a wide array of talents, including painting, photography, sculpture, prints, fiber art, carvings, textile and ceramics.

Feelings of festivity will surround the show on October 12 with a reception, live music, food and drink. The guest artists will also feature a closing reception on November 16 from 7-9pm. Artwork will be on display during the entire time.

The Normal Wild West Show at Wild Horse Gallery is a step-up for Artist Incubator. It will elevate the category of art in our community, while fulfilling our mission, "To develop a new economy and culture based on art which includes the students at Oklahoma Panhandle State University and other local artists.
