Classical music is coming back to Eureka Springs and Northwest Arkansas.  Eureka Springs Into Music Festival brings classical music to Northwest Arkansas with an emphasis on student involvement.

The event begins on Tuesday, March 15. Thorncrown Chapel, at 12968 Hwy 62 West, will be the host site for a very special concert featuring Sara Sant’Ambrogio and Sara Parkins from the Eroica Trio and members of the Arkansas Philharmonic and Youth Orchestra at 7 p.m.

The Eureka Springs City Auditorium, at 36 S. Main Street, will be home for the second performance of the Eureka Springs Into Music Festival with The Eroica Trio taking the stage, along with Arkansas Philharmonic Principal Violist Krista Mays, as well as the winner of the Youth YouTube competition, and other special guests.   Show time is also 7 p.m.

The Eroica Trio is pianist Erika Nickrenz, violinist Sara Parkins, and cellist Sara Sant’Ambrogio. Considered the most sought after trio in the world, the Grammy nominated Eroica Trio entrances audiences with a combination of technical virtuosity, palpable enthusiasm, and a sensual elegance not often encountered on the classical music stage.

The Eureka Springs Into Music Festival was first conceived of by Sara Sant’Ambrogio, cellist for the world-famous Eroica Trio, after the trio performed for a standing room only crowd in Eureka Springs. Sant’Ambrogio feels there should be no artificial barriers between different types of music – or audiences. “It’s all music and about translating our human condition and emotions through the music,” she stated.

A big part of the Eureka Springs Into Music Festival involves outreach to local students. Professional musicians will be visiting area schools throughout the region for “informances” - class length presentations and workshops of music and story geared toward exciting students about music and helping them to relate music to their own lives.

Tickets for both the Auditorium performance and Thorncrown Chapel performance are available online at www.theaud.org.    For more information, visit www.eurekaspringsintomusic.com
