Commerce OK school to present AIDS prevention education to students

Sixth, seventh and tenth grade students attending Commerce Public Schools will be given AIDS prevention education instruction on March 27.

Commerce Public Schools will conduct a presentation, concerning the curriculum and materials that will be used for AIDS prevention education, for the parents and guardians of sixth, seventh or tenth grade students. The presentations will be given on Thursday, February 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the middle school science room for sixth and seventh grades and in the high school Family and Consumer Sciences Room for tenth grade.

No student shall be required to participate in AIDS prevention education if a parent or guardian of the student objects in writing to such participation.
