Creating Change Update - getting oriented

Over 3000 people are expected at the NGLTF Task Force Creating Change conference in Atlanta this week. On Thursday most of the workshops are "Preconference Institutes." There are about 20 of them. Friday through Sunday there are over 300 workshops, covering every imaginable topic from politics, to aging to HIV/AIDS issues. I'm attending the Elder Institute. The stories shared, just in this morning's session are compelling and moving.

To think that similar stories are being shared with hundreds of others in two dozen rooms is humbling. There are lots of people of color, transgender folks, old people, young people. It is going to be a great conference and I am going to try to keep you updated through the weekend.
