Drag the Vote

Native Two-Spirit and IndigiQueer people remain underrepresented in so many civil engagement and voter mobilization efforts, with barriers like rural isolation and discrimination. Many of us fear immigration and ICE thugs could attempt to show up at the polls to reduce the turnout of brown and Indigenous voters.
Against this backdrop, the All Nations Two-Spirit Society (ANTSS) and the Two-Spirit & Native LGBTQ+ Center For Equity are hosting a Drag-The-Vote event at the Tulsa (Oklahoma) Deennis R. Neill Equality Center.
Performances by Sage Chanell, Landa Lakes, Vicki Dillard, Felimena Pussywillow and Ivana B. Real, representing Two-Spirit entertainers, will take place on Sunday, October 25th from 4-6 p.m., encouraging IndigiQueer and allies alike to vote on November 3rd.
Come mingle and meet your “Aunties” from ANTSS and a national coalition from Denver, as we power up for the elections. We want to see you more involved in politics and Two-Spirit efforts across Indian Country.
The event happens the day after our annual Intercultural Partnership Council Two-Spirit Celebration in the Cherokee Nation capital of Tahlequah. Info about all these events is up now on the “Aunties” (ANTSS) website: www.antss.co
