Two airports in Oklahoma’s 5th District will soon see nearly $10 million in federal grants.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration announced the four grants this month. The money will help Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City and Wiley Post Airport in Bethany make critical updates.

The FAA awarded the Will Rogers World Airport three grants. It awarded the airport $1.45 million for snow removal equipment, $2.37 million to rehabilitate its access road and $5.49 million to reconstruct its apron, more commonly known as the tarmac.

The FAA awarded the Wiley Post Airport $653,000 to rehabilitate its taxiway and reconstruct the lighting on it.

According to a spokeperson for Congresswoman Kendra Horn, "Congresswoman Horn’s top priority is serving everyone in Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District. This includes representing you in Congress as a lawmaker and making the federal government to work better for you – in Washington D.C. and in Oklahoma."

They said her office is the front door to the federal government for Oklahoma's 5th District. "We are committed to making Oklahomans aware of programs they can use. We share news releases from other government agencies to make sure you see them. If you have questions, you can call our Washington office at (202) 225-2132 or our Oklahoma City office at (405) 602-3074."
