OKCMOA invites you to "Strike a Pose" for Pride month

Dress your best, walk the red carpet and "Strike a Pose" in the lobby of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) on June 21. The OKCMOA will host "Third Thursday: Strike a Pose," part of their new Thursday evening programming. The event will take place June 21 from 5 to 10 p.m.

Local creatives will provide Oscar-level commentary for all fashionistas who participate. At 8 p.m. will be a PRIDE gallery tour.

Strike a Pose will celebrate all things fashion, PRIDE month, and the special exhibition "Isabelle de Borchgrave: Fashioning Art from Paper." Third Thursday is presented by Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores.   

Activities are geared toward teens and adults although all ages are welcome. No reservations are required. The event is free for Museum members, $5 for non-members.

The event will be at the The Oklahoma City Museum of Art, 415 Couch Dr., Oklahoma City, OK 73102. Roof Terrace and bar will be open from 5-10 p.m. There will be live music on the roof from Oklahoma artists Maggie McClure and Shane Henry and a curator's tour of "Isabelle de Borchgrave: Fashioning Art from Paper" at 6 p.m. with curator Jessica Provencher. 

And at 8 p.m., there will be a PRIDE gallery tour led by Bryon Chambers and special guests.

"Angels Wear White" screening in the Samuel Roberts Noble Theater at 5:30 and 8 p.m.

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art serves over 125,000 visitors annually. The Museum's permanent collection includes art covering centuries, contemporary art, and one of the world's largest public collections of glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly.
