Oklahoma City Ballet to stage classical Giselle

Oklahoma City Ballet will kick off the Civic Center season with Giselle, presented by MidFirst Bank.  Giselle is a classical ballet that has its origin in 19th century French ballet, but is the ages-old tale of love, betrayal and forgiveness that has inspired dancers for generations.

The company will stage four performances, October 23-25 at the Civic Center Music Hall. The Oklahoma City Philharmonic will bring Adolphe Adam’s musical score vividly to life live at each performance. Single tickets start at $35 and are available now through OKC Ballet and Civic Center Box Offices.

On Saturday, October 24th 8pm performance only, two guest artists will be joining the cast. Gonzalo Garcia, principal dancer with New York City Ballet, will dance the role of Albrecht and Xiomara Reyes, principal dancer with American Ballet Theater, will dance the role of Giselle.

Performances take place on Friday, October 23 at 8pm; Saturday, October 24 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, October 25th at 2pm. All performances take place at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 North Walker Avenue in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City Ballet Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 9am – 5pm at 7421 North Classen, Oklahoma City.
