At this Sunday's monthly PFLAG meeting, we will learn more about Megan's Rainbow. Megan's Rainbow is an LGBTQ Group for Teens. The mission of Megan's Rainbow is to provide a safe space for LGBTQ teens to interact with peers, share coping skills, and enhance their understanding of self and others. Our goal is to foster resiliency and healthy choices within the individual while promoting unity within our community.

The PFLAG meeting will be held this Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. at the National Ave Christian Church, 1515 S. National, Springfield, Missouri.

Also this Sunday, as at every meeting, they will have Play Group. This is a support group for transgender and gender-nonconforming children ages 4-13 that provides expressive arts, activities and a safe place for them to be themselves. The group facilitators are Linda Thomas, Licensed Counseling Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist, and Katie Brammer, Licensed Professional Counselor. Linda is retired, and Katie has a private practice in which she provides play therapy, specializing in working with kids who identify as LGBTQ.
