Tulsa’s Premier Gay Leather Event, the Tulsa Mr. Leather Contest and Events will be held this March 23-24. The two-day event will be held at the Tulsa Eagle, Tulsa’s premier leather bar since 2005.

This 26th year of Tulsa’s Leather Competition and the Tulsa Mr. Leather title finds and honors the worthiest contestant who will move on to the Oklahoma Mr. Leather competition and then to the International Mr. Leather competition in Chicago.

Braden Beller, current Tulsa Mr. Leather explains. “The Tulsa Mr. Leather competition, and ultimately the title holder, will spend their year’s reign promoting the ‘Brotherhood of Leather’ by raising funds and awareness for their chosen charity which benefits the entire Oklahoma gay community.”

Beller has been a part of the Tulsa LGBT+ community for nine years and has supported various charities and fundraising events.

During his 2017 Tulsa Mr. Leather title year, Braden held a fundraiser for Tulsa Cares Food Pantry, helped at Joplin Pride, participated in the Tulsa and Oklahoma City Pride parades, participated in the Bootblack Roundup (St. Louis) and reached out to smaller communities around Northeast Oklahoma.

He is an LGBT+ ally for his employer and says, “I hope we will continue to reach out beyond our comfort zone, learning more about others and helping our LGBTQ brothers and sisters.”

Organizers of the event, TML Producers, have searched across the region finding experienced judges from Tulsa, St Louis and Oklahoma City to bring prestige to this

time-honored event.

The Tulsa Mr. Leather Contest and Events will be March 23 & 24 at the Tulsa Eagle, 1338 E. 3rd Street in the heart of the Tulsa Pearl District, just east of Downtown Tulsa.
