The Nutcracker is the perfect ballet for those that have never attended, whether child or adult, or for those that have experienced ballet for years. This enchanting tale of Clara and the Nutcracker Prince as they go up against the Mouse King continues to delight year after year. Oklahoma City Ballet will once again use The Oklahoma City Philharmonic and over 100 children from The Dance Center of Oklahoma City Ballet to complete this dreamlike production. This season more than ever, continue the holiday tradition, or start one, that includes this incredible show.

“We don’t get tired of doing this show,” said OKC Ballet Artistic Director Robert Mills. “It’s a holiday tradition for us as much as for the audience. It’s fun to see and hear the audience enjoy it year after year.”

To add to the festivities, “Nutcracker Tea in the Kingdom of Sweets” will take place in the Meinders Hall of Mirrors. The inaugural year of this event will be one you won’t want to miss! Enjoy wondrous treats and meet your favorite characters from The Nutcracker as the Kingdom of Sweets come to life for this special annual event!

This delightful event will be held Sunday, December 18 at 4:30 p.m., after the 2 p.m. matinee performance so it will not interfere with patrons attending the performance. Have a ticket to a performance on a different day? You can still purchase a ticket to the Nutcracker Tea. Don’t have a ticket to a performance? You can still come to the Nutcracker Tea. The Nutcracker Tea tickets are sold separately from The Nutcracker performance tickets; one is not required for the other.

For tickets and more information, visit www.okcballet.com or call 405-848-TOES (8637).
