"Southern Baptist Sissies" comes to the Boom in OKC

Robert JM Productions presents Southern Baptist Sissies by Del Shores performing April 12-27 at the Boom Dinner Theatre. With a theme of religion clashing with sexuality, this award winning play follows the lives of four gay boys growing up in the Baptist church.

 

The play stars Scotty Taylor as Mark, the sissy who dreams of a perfect world, Doug Rankin as Benny, the effeminate sissy, Jason McKelvy as TJ, the masculine sissy and Kaleb Bruza as Andrew, the conflicted sissy who can’t pray away the feelings.

Rounding out the cast is Paul James as the Preacher, Courtney Hahne as the Mothers, Sean Eckart as the “go-go” boy with Lilli Bassett and Robert Matson as the barflies, Odette and Peanut.

The production is being directed by Kenneth Benton, who recently directed “Mrs. Mannerly” at Carpenter Square. Performances are Friday and Saturdays at 8 pm with dinner service starting at 6 pm.
