The Gayly has confirmed today that Freedom Oklahoma Executive Director Troy Stevenson has resigned from the organization.

“He has separated from the organization as of today, and he is no longer affiliated with Freedom Oklahoma,” Brett Baldwin, Freedom Oklahoma board chairman said today. “Our commitment to the community remains, and we thank Troy for the good things he has done for the organization and community the past four years.”

Freedom Oklahoma works to secure lived equality and legal protection for LGBTQ Oklahomans, women, queer youth, and other marginalized communities through advocacy, public education, coalition building, community support, and individual empowerment in the civic process.

Baldwin said Freedom Oklahoma would have a full statement out later today.
