Sunday Afternoons at The Hutchinson Art Center: Black History Month

Today, Sunday, February 7, at 3:00 pm:  
Mark McCormick, Executive Director of the Kansas African American Museum will speak on a recently published book he contributed to that focuses on the History of the Black Community of Wichita, and activities at the KAAM.

On Sunday, February 21 at 3:00 pm:  
David Lee Quick, Wichita Artist and Art Historian will present an illustrated program celebrating The History and Influence of The Harlem Renaissance and It's Many Kansas Connections.

On Sunday, February 28 at 3:00 pm:  Lemuel Sheppard, performer and authority on African-American folk music will present a program of African-folk music that is a mixture of scholarship and music.

The Hutchinson Arts Center's Sunday Afternoon at The Art Center 2016 Series is sponsored by The Hutchinson / Reno Arts and Humanities Council.  The Hutchinson Art Center is located in Downtown Hutchinson at 405 N. Washington Street.  The public is invited & all three events are free.
