(Tulsa) Coming off two years of top ten Gay Softball World Series finishes, the Tulsa Metro Softball League (TMSL) is planning a very busy year. The league, a program of Oklahomans for Equality, is hosting two major softball tournaments this year; the Tulsa Crude Classic and the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance 2013 NAGAAA Cup.

In July, they will hold the 2nd annual Tulsa Crude Classic which is expected to bring 15-20 gay teams to town from leagues in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and other surrounding states. The Crude Classic will be held July 5-7.

However, the main event is Memorial Day weekend. The league will host the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA), and their 2013 NAGAAA Cup, a national invitation only tournament. Teams representing gay leagues from across the nation are expected to attend. Tulsa will be the host city to more than 500 gay softball players.

NAGAAA is the largest annual predominantly gay sporting event in the world. This year's series will be held in Washington, DC. Created in 1977, NAGAAA is a nonprofit international sports organization comprised of men and women dedicated to promoting organized softball competition for the gay and lesbian community.

Opening Day 2013 has been set for April 7 at TMSL. Those interested in playing this year are asked to visit TulsaMetroSoftball.com and sign up.
