Update: "A Toast to Geegee"

Gee Gee George passed away this morning from cancer.

Much loved Oklahoma City bartender, bar manager and legendary softball player, Geegee George  passed away this week from cancer.

She was bartender and manager for years at Razzy's, Angles and The Wreck Room.

"She was a fierce warrior with a heart of gold," said Floyd Martin, friend of Geegee. "She'd toss you out of a bar on your head if you were raising hell, and was the first one to lend a hand, a ear, a dollar or a heart if you needed one. She will be truly missed."

George was 57 years old.

Services will be held at Bill Merritt, located at 6201 NW 39th Expressway Bethany, OK 73008

Viewing will be Thursday 1/31/2013 from 12pm-8pm. funeral will be at the same location on Friday 2/1/2013 at 2pm; graveside services to follow. Also following the graveside services, there will be a "Toast to Geegee" at The Park from 4pm- 6pm. All are welcome to attend.
