Wal-Mart employee fired for gay-bashing: store gets bomb threat

Wal-Mart is the world's second largest public corporation, according to the Fortune Global 500.

CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) — Police in Chickasha say no one was injured when a man threatened to blow himself up in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Chickasha police say officers responded Friday morning to reports of a suspicious person in a vehicle. Once there, officers discovered a man "acting strange and incoherent" inside the vehicle.

Police say the man was removed from the vehicle and officers discovered that he'd wrapped his legs from ankle to waist in duct tape. According to police, officers detected a strong odor and discovered that the man had doused himself in a flammable liquid.

Shoppers and employees were kept inside the store during the incident.

Chickasha police say the man was taken to a hospital for medical treatment and an evaluation. No charges have been filed.
