Enid Pride set for September 20

This year's theme for Enid Pride is "Orange is the New...Education, Transformation, Celebration.

Pride 2014 will be Saturday, September 20th from noon to 6pm at Government Spring Park North (entrance at 5th and East Park) in Enid, OK.

Enid Pride is an afternoon long festival with live performances, music, vendor booths, food, children’s entertainment, informational services, and community support, all under the umbrella of providing an educational atmosphere of celebrating diversity and acceptance of all people.

This year’s theme is “Orange is the New…Education, Transformation, Celebration.” Transformation is a continuous process, be it for ourselves, our town, state, country or world. All transformation requires education that provides us with the right information, support, and resources to transform in the most beneficial way. Since every transformational journey is unique, challenging and amazing, we should celebrate this journey.

As always, Enid Pride will:

1.  Celebrate the diversity in our community.

2.  Provide our community with a family-friendly celebration that promotes understanding, education, and is appropriate for people of all ages, including children.

3.  Build relationships by demonstrating our commitment to pursue excellence, create unity, and be of service to all members of our community.

Enid Pride is hosted by the Enid LGBT Coalition, and is geared to be welcoming to and attended by the general public. The Coalition estimates that this event now attracts over 1,000 visitors annually from across the region. Enid LGBT Coalition is dedicated to serving the needs of our diverse community by building connections and by encouraging acceptance of all through contributing to, communicating with, and connecting with all members of our community.
