Oklahoma Democratic Party makes open records request regarding Fallin's trip to Paris

(Oklahoma City, OK) - While Oklahoma is trying to mend from disastrous weather and still attempting to secure all available FEMA funds and assistance, Governor Fallin has left for a junket to Paris, France. Worse, Governor Fallin is absent while more flash floods and damage is expected. This sends the wrong message to Oklahomans who have to work hard to pay for even the most modest of vacations. It is only fair that the Governor should be here, earning her paycheck, and taking care of the needs of Oklahoma instead of eating souffles in Paris at the expense of either taxpayers or lobbyists.
So that the taxpayers of Oklahoma can know the cost of this excursion, the Oklahoma Democratic Party has today filed an Open Records request for all documents related to this trip including total costs and who is attending with the Governor.
