Oklahoma legislator introducing new bathroom bill

A House bill, authored by historically anti-LGBT+ Rep. Strohm (R-BIXBY), is in the pipeline for the 2018 legislative session.
"An Act relating to bathrooms; creating the Bathroom Guidelines Act; providing for noncodification; and providing an effective date. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Bathroom Guidelines Act".
Abra Cullen, staff writer for The Gayly, had this to say about the proposed legislation.
"I'm scared; I'm not surprised."
Cullen continued, "This is life for trans people, every day. Every day I leave my house I have the thought in the back of my head that this is the day that someone is going to find out that I'm trans and murder me for it. Legislation like this makes it seem more justifiable for them to do that."
Troy Stevenson, executive director of Freedom Oklahoma said "This bathroom bill has no language yet, but with the title and Stromh being the author, we are pretty sure we know what is coming."
Kira Wertz, an Oklahoma City woman said, "Trying to pass a legislative bill against people who use the restroom is the height of insanity. They assume people will transition for the sole purpose of molesting people in the restroom. Considering how how many friends, family members and jobs they lose in the process, that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
