PFLAG Norman hosts annual Pride event

PFLAG Norman will host its third annual Pride Picnic, Saturday, June 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. "There will be fun games, activities, and a tie-dye station, so bring items to dye and come have a great time," said Tyler Sellers, PFLAG Norman President. "The picnic is a great time for fellowship of the LGBTQ community, families, and allies. We always have such a great time together, and this year will be no exception!"

Hot dogs, chips and drinks provided and we welcome additional sides to share. Tables are available but we recommend bringing chairs or blankets to ensure seating.

PFLAG Norman will also have a table outside Sandalwood & Sage during Art Walk, June 8, so stop by for our Equality Rocks activity and for more information about our upcoming events and resources.

PFLAG is a national support, education, and advocacy organization with 400 chapters across the United States and abroad. PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

The picnic is free and open to the public and will be held at Norman’s Rotary Park: 1501 W. Boyd Street. For more information call 360-4497 or visit www.pflagnorman.org or Facebook.
