The 2013 Oklahoma LGBT College Summit will be held Saturday, February 16 at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. The summit is organized by the TEN Institute and hosted by The Student Alliance For Equality (SAFE) at UCO.

This exciting one-day meeting will give LGBT college students the knowledge and skills to be effective LGBT activists. Topics for the day include: media messaging, how to start and sustain a gay-straight alliance (GSA), advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) issues and much more.

Panelists will include attorney Jeff Riles, representatives from The Equality Network, Oklahomans for Equality, and Cimarron Alliance. Students, faculty, and staff from universities and colleges around the state are expected to participate in the summit.

The summit will start at 10am and continue to 5:30 pm. Registration is free and includes lunch and a t-shirt. SAFE will host an after-party at UCO that evening. To register for the Summit, go to www.tinyurl.com/2013CollegeSummit
